Christmas Memory

I woke up on Christmas morning and looked over to see if my sister, Hannah was still sleeping (she wasn't). I quickly ran up the stairs to look in my stocking. Hannah was already up there sitting on the couch. When everybody else was up we all sat down by the Christmas tree and opened our presents. I looked out the window and snow was softly falling.

After breakfast (and opening presents) we all went outside and the driveway was completely covered in snow, lots of snow. After we had been shoveling for what seemed like a long long time there was still a lot of snow in the driveway. The pile we had made was HUGE but it was still going to get a lot bigger. It was almost big enough to make a snow fort.

There was a tall tree that was covered in snow by the side of the driveway. I walked over to it (Hannah followed me) and stepped into the snow beside it. The snow was a little bit higher than my knee and it was freezing! When I stepped into the snow my snow pants came up of my boots and when my leg sunk my boots filled up with the freezing snow! I looked at all the snow again. We still had to shovel all of that snow too!

I decided to start building the snow fort. I climbed over the huge pile of snow and started digging a hole. After a while Hannah came and helped me. The she had an idea that she could start digging another hole over farther than my hole and then we can connect them together.
After the driveway was all shoveled, everyone went inside to have lunch and get warmed up. One of the presents that we got for Christmas was a wii so we played dance dance revolution and wii sports.

After we stayed inside for a while we went back outside to finish the snow fort. The driveway was covered in more snow again. This time Dad was helping up finish the fort. It took a long time and it collapsed a few time but finally it was finished. This was the best snow fort ever! It had windows and two entrances. It had chairs and even a snow T.V! We probably could of made it bigger so that we could almost stand up because it kept snowing, and snowing, and snowing. That Christmas was the best Christmas ever!
