Fish Falling From the Sky

It was just another normal summer morning when Sarah woke up. She went downstairs and made herself some breakfast. When she sat down to eat it she thought saw something outside that just dropped from the sky. Was that a fish she thought to herself No... I'm sure that wasn't a fish. She finished eating her breakfast and then went outside.

She walked over to her friend, Maia's house and knocked on the door. "Hi, Sarah!" said Maia "Do you want to come to the each with me.". "Okay" said Sarah "I'll just go and get my bathing suit on" When Sarah got back to Maia's house they walked down to the beach together. When they got there they put there stuff down on the beach and walked into the water. "Aaaaaaaaaah" screamed Maia as something gross and slimy landed on her head. Sarah grabbed it and threw it into the water. "Okay, that was just weird" Said Maia "A fish just landed on my head!". A few minutes later far out in the water they heard a HUGE splash! "What was that" said Maia. "I think that it was another fish" said Sarah. Suddenly they heard three more splashes that must have been fish......and then five.....ten.....twenty! "I think we should go inside now!!!" Yelled Maia "Ya, I think you're right" answered Sarah. They ran as fast as they could until they got to MMaia's house. Sarah flung open the door and they ran inside. Maia slammed the door after them.

They waited and waited and WAITED until finally the fish stopped falling from the sky. "I think I'll go back to my house now" said Sarah "Okay" said Maia. Sarah slowly opened the door and stepped outside. There were fish lying EVERYWHERE! "That.....is disgusting!!" said Maia. "Maybe I'll stay here" said Sarah "I don't really want to walk through dead fish" " I don't blame you" said Maia.

The girls went back inside and thought about why FISH would be falling from the sky. "I don't see why fish would be falling from the sky" said Maia. "Me neither" said Sarah. They stayed inside for a while until finally they went back outside to look at the fish again. "There GONE!!" said Maia surprised. "Ummm...Maia come here and look at this" said Sarah. "Wow!" said Maia "All those birds must of eaten the fish" said Sarah. "Okay..... So we know why the fish
disappeared but we still don't know how or why they were FALLING FROM THE SKY!!" said Maia. "Let me think for a second" said Sarah as she saw a bird carrying a fish that it had just grabbed from the water, "This morning when I was looking out the window I thought that I saw a fish falling from the sky. But...I think it was a bird swooping down to get a fish from the water". Suddenly another fish fell from the sky. Maia looked up. SPLAT! It landed on Maia. "Did that bird just throw a fish a me" said Maia madly. Sarah looked up and saw another fish come falling down. "That was the bird we just saw swoop down and pick up a fish" said Sarah. "So" said Maia. "So......It just dropped the fish out of it's mouth instead of eating it" said Sarah. "Oh" said Maia "So it wasn't raining fish it was the birds spitting them at us". "The birds Probably didn't like the fish so they spit them out" said Sarah "And there is a lot of birds so if all of them spit out 5 fish then it would cover the whole beach and road". "We solved the mystery!!" said Maia". Sarah and Maia were so happy that knew why there were fish falling from the sky. But the only thing they didn't know now was..........
